THE AGIUS FAMILY – (Claude, Barbara, Claudia and David)
AN INSTITUTION
Behind ‘Architect on a Scooter’ is some great support and for a long time it has been the Agius family, headed-up by Claude and his family. They are the oldest family run Piaggio Vespa dealer in the UK, since 1951.
In 2011, I attended their 60-year jubilee event, where many classic scooters were lined-up outside as well as long-standing loyal customers, such as Sterling Moss (now 89 years old), one of my heroes (yep that’s him in the pic folks).
Claude owns the most photographed scooter in the world, photographed by Mario Testino, featured by Oasis, Harrods and Vogue.
What you get from this family run business is the personal touch, some banter, Vespa history and most of all a Passion for Scooters.
